Museum Artifacts

Archaeological discoveries since 1960 have upset traditional theories concerning the origins of copper and bronze technologies. It had been thought that the use of bronze had originated in the Middle East, but discoveries near Ban Chiang, Thailand, indicate that bronze technology was known there as early as 4500 BC.

Observe the top four photographs to your left. This bust was purportedly from the Shang Dynasty (c.1600-1111 BCE). The radiographic image exposes this item as a forgery, using one ancient bronze bowl or cooking pot as the crown, and modern materials for all else. The object was largely comprised of strips of brass, an epoxy compound with dirt and pigment, and a machined white iron fitting for the pedestal base.

The bottom photograph is an authentic bronze vessel of the Western Zhou Dynasty (c. 1050-771 BCE).

SI-TECH will enable you to see the internal characteristics of your precious objects, without any physical intrusion or damage to the object itself. Would you like to know if another masters painting exist under the one you can see? Are you interested in knowing if any repairs have been performed to the ivory or marble sculpture you are about to purchase?

We truly enjoy the investigative process involved with this work, and are confident you will be surprised out how quickly and economically these extremely important inspections can be performed.

Do not hesitate to call me, George Thompson, about your particular needs. The call is toll free, and it won't cost you a dime to hear our investigative recommendations regarding your artwork.
